What is the Training Accreditation Council?

The Training Accreditation Council is Western Australia's State Registering/Course Accrediting Body and is responsible for quality assurance and recognition of vocational education and training services in Western Australia. This includes:

  • the registration of training providers;
  • the accreditation of courses;
  • the recognition of skills and qualifications; and
  • providing policy advice to the State Training Board on recognition arrangements.

The Training Accreditation Council is committed to being the national leader in the strategic management of the recognition and quality assurance of training, including associated policies, services and standards in the vocational education and training sector and to providing practical, efficient and responsive support for government, the State Training Board, industry training providers, and the community.

 

How often does the Training Accreditation Council meet?

The Training Accreditation Council meets twice a month, and considers applications for course accreditation and registration matters at both of these meetings.

Should you wish to have an application considered, please ensure you submit the application to the Office of the Training Accreditation Council 3 months in advance of your anticipated delivery date to allow for review and processing.
