TAC Secretariat Christmas Shutdown

The TAC Secretariat would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday season and look forward to working with you again in 2016.

Please note, the Secretariat will be closed from 4.30pm, Thursday 24 December 2015 and will reopen 8.30am, Monday 4 January 2016.

AVETMISS Reporting

The collection window for reporting 2015 AVETMISS data will open on 4 January 2016 for reporting all nationally accredited training activity. Data for the period January — December 2015 is due to NCVER by 29 February 2016.

If your RTO reports AVETMISS data via a State Training Authority, please check their due date for receiving data as it may be earlier than this.

If you are having difficulties validating or submitting your data, please contact the NCVER Client Support team either by phone on 08 8230 8400 or 1800 649 452 or email support@ncver.edu.au.

Please note, no reporting extensions will be available for reporting 2015 AVETMISS data. If your RTO does not have any delivery to report, please advise your Registration Officer via email.

Annual Declaration

A policy surrounding the requirement to submit an annual declaration to your regulator (Clause 8.4) is currently being developed by the Training Accrediation Council and will be circulated to RTOs once available.

Competency Online Completion System

As every RTO now reports AVETMISS data of its total VET delivery activity, there is no longer a requirement for any RTO to report competency completion quality indicator data to the Competency Online Completion System (CCOS).

RTOs must still complete the other quality indicators, the learner engagement and employer satisfaction surveys.

Certain not-for-profit RTOs who have limited exemptions on security or community service obligation grounds may not be required to submit AVETMISS data.

Unique Student Identifier

A reminder that the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 require RTOs to have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) for each student before issuing that student with an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification or statement of attainment.

RTOs will need to include the student’s USI in their AVETMISS data submission to meet the reporting obligations. The USI transcript service will be operational next year, which will contain RTOs' 2015 AVETMISS data.

For more information please visit usi.gov.au
