Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) deliver and/or assess nationally recognised training and must meet national standards.
Course Accreditation is the formal recognition of a course by an accrediting body. Accredited courses fill a gap in skill requirements that are not covered by national industry training package qualifications.
Students and industry should expect quality training and assessment from RTOs. A key function of the Training Accreditation Council is to ensure that training providers operate within the national quality assurance arrangements to meet student and industry expectations.
