Can I develop a partnership with a Registered Training Organisation?

The Australian Quality Training Framework allows for partnerships between training organisations as a mechanism for assuring the quality of the delivery, assessment and recognition of training. This option may appeal particularly to organisations whose core business is not training.

 

I am thinking about entering into a partnership arrangement with an RTO. Do I need a formal agreement?

There are many different types of partnership arrangements, but if the partnership has any impact on the business of training and assessment then the arrangement must be documented, in particular how the AQTF standards are addressed/impacted on. The role and responsibility of each party needs to be identified in detail and clearly documented and monitored on a regular basis.

A partnership can provide many opportunities for your business but can also pose significant risks. Consider all the possibilities before entering into a partnership arrangement.
