New TAC RTO Portal

The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) has a new customer portal that will 'Go Live' in the week commencing 9 October 2017. The new system will replace RTONet and will be the sole access point for applications with TAC. It will be the mechanism that RTOs can view, access and manage their RTO data and applications.

Communication with TAC will be enhanced and new streamlined business processes have been developed.

When will the new portal be "live"?

The 'Go-Live' date for the new portal is the week commencing 9 October 2017.  As the new portal is rolled out over this week, the legally responsible person and registration contact for your RTO will receive an invitation to the new portal which includes an invitation code.  A simple guide explaining this process will be provided with the invitation.

How will the transition affect existing providers and applications?

During transition, existing data will be moved into the new environment, all submitted and draft applications will be available in the system. All other RTO information will be transitioned as it currently is in RTONet.

To ensure a smooth transition it would be appreciated if RTOs would check their current details are up to date.

Do I need to do anything differently?

Your existing login and password will expire with the launch of the new system. As advised, TAC will send nominated legally responsible persons and registration contacts an email asking you to register for the new portal. You will be able to commence an initial login process and update your profile within the new system.

RTOs will be able to have one or more administrators who will be able to:

  • create new user accounts
  • grant access to your organisation's information, and
  • remove access from users once they no longer represent your organisation.

Please note that the new system has new forms that must be used for all future applications. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the new forms prior to commencing a new application.
