Remote and Blended Modes of Delivery during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Social distancing and isolation measures currently in place to minimise COVID-19 infection have disrupted established social, professional and business practices around Australia. Many businesses have had to rethink new and different ways of doing business and interacting with their clients. It is just as important now as it has always been for RTOs to ensure they deliver quality training and assessment to industry standards, irrespective of the mode of delivery.

The Training Accreditation Council has published information to support RTOs consider a range of delivery modes to continue meeting the needs of their learners and clients. The guidance covers key considerations including:
  • RTO preparedness for remote/blended delivery
  • Marketing remote/blended learning – informing prospective learners and current learners about modified training delivery arrangements
  • Responding to learners’ needs in the modified delivery environment
  • Revisiting and adapting training and assessment to the new delivery mode
  • Maintaining records of modifications to training and assessment arrangements, including the rationale for the change
  • Staying connected to networks and information sources for access to up to date and accurate information.
