Delegation to TVET Australia
The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) has now delegated authority to TVET Australia to manage the registration of multi-jurisdictional training providers who are currently registered in WA.  RTOs need to apply to TAC to have their eligibility assessed first, before registration can be transferred to the National Audit and Registration Agency (NARA) within TVET Australia.

Information about NARA, including their fees and charges, can be viewed at www.nara.tvetaustralia.com.au.

The RTO8 application form and a list of evidence which is required with the application is available in Application Forms  There are no fees associated with lodging this application form.

Transition arrangements for High Risk Work License units
TAC and WorkSafe have produced an information flyer advising of the transition arrangements for RTOs that are currently registered to deliver units of competency, recognised by WorkSafe, for the high risk work licenses (HRWL) and would like to register for the new HRWL units of competency. Amendments to the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996
Effective 10 June 2009, the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996 has been amended, repealing the Industrial Training Act 1975, to provide greater flexibility and a more contemporary training system for Western Australia.

Changes to the legislation will modernise training in Western Australia and allow training providers and employers to operate in a more streamlined, fairer and responsive training system.

Client Qualification Register
The Training Accreditation Council  now requires all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to submit information on student achievements.

Transition arrangements for Tilt Up Training
The unit CPCCM1007A Carry out tilt-up work safely will replace 51629 Course in Contribute to Safe Tilt Up Construction. TAC and WorkSafe have put together an information flyer to advise RTOs on the transition arrangements as well as the dual auditing process for new applications. Transition arrangements for Course in Safety Awareness Training (51466)
The Training Accreditation Council, WorkSafe and the Department of Education and Training have released a joint communiqué detailing WorkSafe's  position on the induction training, and TAC's amendment to registration process for the new unit CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry. This unit will replace the Course in Safety Awareness Training (51466).For more information please click on the above link.
